Featured Map for 27 May 2021:
Breeze Airways

Breeze Airways starts service today, flying from Tampa to Charleston, South Carolina and on to Hartford. Louisville will be added to the network tomorrow with flights to Tampa and Charleston. Five more routes will be added during June, four from Tampa to Tulsa, Norfolk, Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Akron, with the fifth between Charleston and Norfolk. Another 30 routes will be added in July for a total of 39 routes.

Breeze is the fifth airline founded or co-founded by David Neeleman, afrer Morris Air, WestJet, JetBlue, and Azul. It was founded on 31 July 2018 as Moxy Airways, hence MX as its IATA code. The airline will initially operate Embraer E190 and E195 aircraft. 80 examples of the Airbus A220-300 are on order with deliveries due to start in October 2021; these aircraft will allow Breeze to fly longer routes. (An initial order for 60 of the A220-300 was increased with an order for 20 more on 26 April 2021.)

Today's Featured Map shows the Breeze route map, with this week's initial routes in dark blue, the June additions in red, and the big July expansion in brighter blue.
